There are so many different things that you can do now to make your kid’s birthday feel special. Many of the things that I’m going to discuss do not require you to spend too much money. Balloons at Dollar Tree for decorating only cost a dollar and twenty-five cents each. You can often find birthday plates and napkins at the Dollar Tree too. There are banners and other decorations that can be purchased at Dollar Tree. Some many different themes and characters are popular now that you are sure to find something. If you can’t find a character or theme that your kiddo would like you can always add stickers of a theme that like to the edge of plain paper plates.
An activity that you can do with the kids that are inexpensive are pin the tail on the donkey which you can create from items around your home. You could print a picture of donkey off the internet or draw a picture. You can make a blind fold from a handkerchief. The tail can be made from a piece of cardboard or construction paper that you draw on. You of course would need to cut the tail out. Another activity would be bobbing for apples. You could get a shallow plastic tub from Walmart and add water. Apples would definitely need to be purchased so that the kids could bob for them.
The kids could simply play board games or card games that are found on Amazon, Walmart or at Five Below. If you have a big backyard you can set up races in your backyard. The kids can have fun competing against each other. Simple water guns can be used, and targets can be set up in your backyard.
Some treats that can be made for birthday parties are chocolate melts that are put into molds. The melts and molds can be found at most craft stores and are inexpensive to buy. The molds often come in so many different shapes so you should be able to find one your child would like.
Cakes can be made off of recipes on the internet and can be decorated by you using things unique cake toppers that can be purchased online. You can also learn to decorate your cake with icing using cake decorating kits found at Walmart, craft stores or online. You can simply purchase a cake from the local grocery store as these are often premade and come in a variety of designs and colors. If you ask you can have Happy Birthday with your child’s name written on the cake.
There are so many different themes and characters that are popular among the kids. You can often go online and find resources to create a birthday party that is personal to your child. All you have to do is look and get a little creative in how you put your birthday party together. A birthday party is only limited by your imagination.
