I’m a fifty something woman who raised two boys and is enjoying the second half of my life. I was a stay-at-home mom for years and I’m now discovering a different side to life. I enjoyed being there for my kids even though the days were hectic I will always cherish them. I’m currently exploring my creative side after working in human services and education for a bit. I hope to make writing a full-time side business in some way. Writing has always been a passion of mine and I would love to make a living doing it. Blogging has allowed me to follow a passion of mine and share my experiences with others.

Tinker Toys

Tinker toys are great things for kids to have as toys. There are many skills that tinker toys can develop. The first skills they develop are fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. When playing with tinker toys children learn about things such as balance and stability as they build structures. Creativity and imagination can be developed while using tinker toys and building in 3D.

While playing with tinker toys a child has to plan, use trial and error. In addition, children use spatial reasoning in order to build a structure that is three dimensional. Children also have to analyze why a structure might fail and adapt the design they are building requiring resilience and logic to adjust their plan of building.

Tinker toys are those really neat sticks and wheels that connect together. If you have never seen a tinker toy google them or check them out in the store sometime. I highly recommend them for children ages three and above to learn spatial intelligence as well as the other skills that I mentioned.

Why not go out and purchase some tinker toys today and help your child to build some really cool objects while learning some skills that will be helpful.
