Freedom

Children during the summertime can often become bored when not in school. There are some really great inexpensive things that you can do to keep them entertained.

Bubbles are a great Dollar Tree find, or you can make your own by using dish soap. Recipes for bubbles can often be found online if you go the homemade route. Using bubbles teaches kids imagination and they can learn to use eye hand coordination by dipping the bubble wand.

Sidewalk chalk is another great option to keep kids entertained while home from school in the summertime. Chalk can be used to draw a hopscotch, or it can be used for art drawings. Kids can have fun drawing on the sidewalk with the chalk and make all kinds of characters and writings. Using sidewalk chalk can also foster eye hand coordination.

Another really great inexpensive idea for kids during the summer is to use hula hoops. Hula hoops allow children to get physical exercise and use their muscles. Use of hula hoops also fosters coordination in children. If you have more than one hula hoop you can do an obstacle course where kids have to learn to balance and coordinate.

These are some great and inexpensive ways to entertain children. There are so many more ideas out there that can keep kids busy over the summer without breaking the bank.

I hope you get to participate in some really fun and entertaining activities with your kids this summer! Why not jump right in and enjoy the activities with your kids ?
