Popular old games for children

Children are often found on electronic devices now and don’t really get much opportunity to play outside. When I was growing up, many of the children in my neighborhood would play together and they learned social skills this way. Many different games were played in the neighborhood that did not require much time or money…

Parenting

When people become parents, they may raise their children differently than others. Some parents may be strict with their children and their time. No one talks about the days when your kids are grown and no longer around. Sometimes when your kids are little you wish for the days when you will no longer have to change diapers or wake up to that five am feeding. When those days are over sometimes you wish for things to come back. Maybe you won’t miss the five am bottle feeding or the constant diaper changes but, you miss the first step, the first word and the activities your kids got to participate in when they were older. You miss the milestones and the constant interaction with your kids. I’m not a complete empty nester yet, but my kids are grown and headed on their own paths soon. I’m extremely proud of them finishing their degrees and heading on their path to success. I miss the sticky hands, my son eating off my plate and many other fun things about them. They are grown men and I’m proud but, somewhere inside is still that little boy. How will I deal with the empty house when they leave? There will no longer be the pitter patter of their feet running through the house. Have you found yourself in a similar situation?
