Early Attachment

Hot Air Balloons

I’ve had this fascination with hot air balloons since I was a child. I even had some fabric ones that would hang from my ceiling in my room growing up. I’ve never had the desire to ride in one but, find them to be incredibly beautiful to look at. There is something about a big…

Decorating

I have often wondered if growing your own vegetables is economical. I do know that growing your own vegetables that are free of pesticides is definitely a healthier version of the vegetables in the store unless you buy organic. You can grow beans, rhubarb, corn, peas, carrots, tomatoes, herbs and many other things. If your soil is not good you can always make a box garden instead. You would create a square wooden box using two by fours and add soil to the box. Seeds could be put into the box and water as well as fertilized to help them grow.

As the seeds begin to grow you would have a bounty of different vegetables to choose from. I believe that this is an extremely economical way to save money on vegetables. I know farmers markets often have deals and sometimes grocery stores will run sales on certain fruits and vegetables.

I feel that there is a sense of joy from producing your own vegetables that you don’t get from purchasing them in the store. Growing your own vegetables allows you to watch them grow and thrive. Watering them and watching them to reach great thriving has got to be rewarding.

I remember going and picking blueberries with a friend of mine when we were growing up. We would go to a local farm and fill up different flats with blueberries. It was definitely rewarding to be able to see how much we filled up and that our effort had produced that many berries. It’s an individual choice to grow your own vegetables but, I hope you get to go out and produce your own.
