We learn most of confidence in childhood and some of us did not have that parent that encouraged us to be confident in our abilities. Maybe that parent was critical, self-absorbed or lacked self-confidence themselves. Maybe intentionally or not so intentionally they did not give us great self-confidence, so we doubt ourselves. Perhaps we failed at certain things when we were younger or didn’t reach our potential. I have had a love for the arts since I was young and wanted to do something with my writing since that time but, did not pursue it do to fear of failure. Maybe it wouldn’t be good enough even though others have told me I have a natural talent for writing. Well, here I am in middle age yearning to start a copywriting business after working in social services, education and as an administrative assistant when younger. I have decided to take the leap and make my copywriting or writing business a side thing. I had to overcome that doubt in my head and take the leap knowing I will land somewhere and if it doesn’t work out, I can pick myself back up. I hope you go and fulfill your dreams and don’t have doubts about trying. Just remember all your past successes and this should help fuel you towards your goals. Best of luck to everyone and silence that negative nelly committee in your head. Be your own champion and go take that leap to fulfill your dreams.
