I have had a love of writing since the time I was young. I have written several children’s books which I hope to get published as well as poetry. I feel it is important to bring that love to children. If you are raising children and they are at the age when they can write why not introduce them to writing. Writing can help your children to escape into another world. You are fostering their imagination and helping them to build vocabulary. Children also learn to be great communicators through writing.

I usually shy away from sharing my writing except for with a select few as I’m my greatest critic. I’m taking a leap of faith and going to post some of my writing on here. I don’t really know how to protect it from being stolen by others. I want to say that all rights to anything that I post on here are mine alone. My writing is not to be copied or duplicated in any way.

Animals of the Forrest

Bear big, tall and black

Squirrels running in a pack

Bluebirds sing their song

Chipmunks scurry along

Racoons like robbers with masks

The smell of skunk that lasts

Rabbits soft and furry

The salamander that is in a hurry

Possums hanging from their tails

Voles underground making trails
